LIVE FROM STUDIO D was my listener concert series at WKTI/Milwaukee.  We turned a spare TV studio into an intimate concert venue - and carried the entire show live on the air.  Alanis Morissette was one of the biggest stars to play for us.
ABOVE - The Goo Goo Dolls arrive for a STUDIO D show.  This is their tour bus at the loading dock behind Radio City in Milwaukee. We weren't allowed to take pictures of the band until they were ready.  Nobody said anything about the bus!
The STUDIO D concept worked so well, we began to use it for more than just concerts.  ABOVE, the Hamm brothers appeared live in front of a studio audience during the Reitman and Mueller Show.  This appearance was right after the Olympic scoring controversy, so they were aware anything they said would be considered 'on the record.'

One time we took the LIVE FROM STUDIO D concept on the road so more people could see it.  Milwaukee's official "House Band," The Bodeans, played live from the roof of the Pabst Theater in front of 5000 fans (and all live on the radio).  ABOVE:  I took this shot from the roof, just before Lips introduced the band.

We could sit anywhere from 50 to 70 people inside STUDIO D - depending on the stage requirements.  Everyone luck enough to win tickets would get a souvenir "All Access" lanyard as their entry.

Months after a show, we would visit offices and see these hanging inside employee cubes.  Listeners really loved them.

We built one of the largest Friends parties in the nation at WKTI/Milwaukee.  Our morning show producer, Gino Salamone, lined up the lady that played Chandler's girlfriend Janice as our guest of honor.

Line around the block of Milwaukee Ale House ... had to turn people away.

We did all of the work, and our TV station (NBC affiliate) got most of the credit.
ABOVE:  Musical Dads!  The winner of our musical chairs game got to take his daughter backstage to meet N'Sync.  We had two TV choppers over-head covering the event (our TV sister TV station was too busy).
ABOVE:  Bob Reitman says goodbye to Milwaukee radio after 40 years on the air.  This was our black-tie event that turned into a "who's-who" of Wisconsin.
We used to photo-shop pictures of our WKTI banner into pictures on our web-site.

ABOVE:  This picture caused me an angry call from a record label.  They wanted to know how I got a banner up at a neutral show.
