Welcome to my home on the internet.

My name is Bob Walker and I am a life-long broadcaster, student of marketing, and fan of New Media. Working on New Media (internet or digital platforms) gives me the same rush that my broadcasting forefathers must have had when FM radio was launched.

I spent a year year out on my own, consulting small market broadcasters and teaching New Media Integration to anyone that would listen. It was an extremely rewarding and a true learning experience. I had been on the "inside" for the past 20 years. Spending a year with consumers has given me a fresh new perspective on media and where we are headed. Frankly, I learned things you can't get from research projects or focus groups.

I hope to bring that perspective to the industry now that I am back on the inside.

In September '09, I joined Cat Country 98.1 in Providence as program director. I am excited to be joining Hall Communications - a true broadcasting company - and to be back home in New England.
